Literacy
This week we have been looking at instructions as part of our literacy. After collecting some apples from the school orchard, we were able to follow instructions to make an apple crumble.
Maths
To measure mass in non-standard units 18.10.22
Today we make fairy cakes weighing out the ingredients using a balance scale and an egg!
We had to make sure that the flour, butter and sugar would balance against the egg.
NSPCC Number Day
1BE NSPCC Numbers Day!
A huge thankyou to children and parents who took part in our Numbers day. What fantastic and creative costumes you came in!!!
World Book Day
Thursday 2nd March: 1BE had a wonderful time celebrating World Book day we came dressed as our favourite book characters and shared stories with our Year 5 friends.
Wonder dome space experience
Wednesday 8th March
Today we had a visit from The Wonder dome space experience. WE went inside a huge silver space like dome, inside it was very dark, we lay on our back and looked up to the dome, picture of the planets and stars were projected. We also saw images of the international space station we learned about the scientists living on board. We also learnt about the first mission to the moon with Apollo 11 and we watched footage of the first moon landing.
Holiday Homework Project
A huge thank you to everyone for your amazing efforts on the holiday homework project. We have has a lovely time sharing our rockpools with our friends and describing the range of creatures in them.
