"Enjoying Success"

4CH have thoroughly enjoyed the bunny hop! Happy Easter! Miss Howell

4CH are very proud of their Literacy work this term. At the start of the term we read Fantastic Mr Fox, and created descriptive wanted posters, and then made alternative chapters/endings to the story!

We then spent a lot of time researching and learning about lots of important aspects of Roman history, so made non-chronological reports and job descriptions for Roman soldiers!

Handwriting has been a big focus this term and as you can see, we are producing some beautifully-presented pieces!

We are so proud of our Maths work this half term, we have been paying particular focus to mental and written methods of addition and subtraction, as well as practising our times tables, written multiplication methods and problem solving!

We really enjoyed our P.E lessons this half term, growing our skills/confidence in gymnastics

We have practised single/partner balances, travelling movements, and using the apparatus! We worked very hard on putting our new gymnastic movements into sequences to perform to our peers and celebrate our achievements! We have been very lucky this term to have Mr Jew with us for some fantastic gymnastic sessions,he has been so impressed with our determination and drive in our lessons this term

We have been researching and learning about Roman sculptors this term, with the end goal of creating Roman busts! We practised our clay modelling skills before creating our busts, we can’t wait to show off the final results of our art this term!

4CH have had a fantastic time in their forest school sessions this term

From creating Celtic roundhouses relating to our Romans and Celts topic, to creating tortoise shelters as we have been reading Esio Trot!

A huge special thankyou to our Year 5/6 sports ambassadors for their support with our reindeer dash – which was a massive success!

4CH had a very festive time on Friday doing reindeer leaps, Santa hops, dashing through candy cane forests and doing the elf limbo!

A massive well done to our KS2 pupils who took part in the urban biathlon! What an exciting (and rather muddy) challenge it was! Very well done to all! Miss Howell

4CH had a fantastic time learning about keeping bees and relating it to their Maths work during Maths week!

4CH had a fantastic time experiencing an Egyptian workshop today, as well as a drama workshop – making statues to do with life in Egyptian times!

We enjoyed making a healthy fruit salad, we have had so much fun learning about the different fruits and trying new ones!

4CH thoroughly enjoyed their world book day today! From designing our own comics/bookmarks, to guess the character games, and some wonderful reading of our favourite books accompanied by some lovely snacks – we have had the best day!
